Listen to Empower Her Wellness
Atavia shares her personal journey and the significant role that mindset plays in managing irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). From her early struggles as a sensitive child to the development of severe IBS in her twenties, Atavia emphasizes how stress and lifestyle choices can drastically affect gut health. With a background in nutritional therapy, she outlines the multifaceted nature of IBS, noting that it is often misunderstood and can manifest differently in each person. Atavia sheds light on the physiological connections between the gut and the mind, explaining that gut health is not just about digestive issues, but can also impact mood, energy levels, and overall well-being. This episode serves as a clarion call for those suffering from IBS to recognize that they are not alone, and that with the right approach and mindset, they can reclaim control over their health.
Atavia introduces the concept of a ‘curiosity mindset’—an approach that encourages individuals to become observers of their symptoms rather than victims of them. Through this lens, listeners learn how to identify triggers and better understand their bodies. Atavia passionately advocates for radical acceptance; acknowledging one’s current health state without despair allows for proactive steps toward improvement. The episode is not only informative but empowering, as it encourages listeners to take responsibility for their health and make informed choices based on their unique experiences. This approach can transform the often overwhelming journey of living with IBS into one of discovery and self-advocacy, where individuals can navigate their symptoms with confidence and clarity.
About Atavia
Atavia Minoudis, is an online Nutritional Therapist specialising in Gut Health & Irritable Bowel Syndrome.
Throughout my 20’s was dangerously underweight, less than 98lbs (7 stone), unable to eat due to raging IBS. When I went back and forth to my doctor I was told there is “nothing wrong with you” and to try peppermint capsules.
Decided I would have to teach myself so I spent 3 years studying Nutritional Therapy. now I know the truth about irritable bowel syndrome, and I’m on a mission to share this with busy millenials everywhere to help them overcome irritable bowel syndrome & IBS symptoms, and master their gut health. Created a 4 step framework to identify and target areas of the gut that cause IBS.
